SUNS publishes a bilingual (Finnish-Swedish) academic quarterly Naistutkimus-Kvinnoforskning. The Association also organises an annual Women's Studies conference and other seminars. There are about 600 members in the Association, the board of which consists of representatives of all the nine Women's Studies units in Finland, the Naistutkimus-Kvinnoforskning journal and students. Both the journal and chairwomanship are circulated in different universities so that the host university changes every two years. In addition to universities, SUNS has cooperation with for example with women's organisations, other academic associations, Council for Equality, the Nordic Institution for Women's Studies and Gender Research.
